Other Resident Activities
- Residents serve as a source of drug information to the Internal Medicine and HIV-AIDS Clinics.
- Residents provide medication compliance counseling.
- Residents assist with drug selection in accordance with various managed care organizations for the Internal Medicine and HIV-AIDS Clinics.
- Residents provide patient education for diabetes, asthma, hypertension, coagulation disorders, and hyperlipidemia.
- Residents conduct medication-use evaluations and performance improvement projects.
- Residents conduct a clinical research project. The project is presented at the Southeastern Residency Conference in late spring of the residency year.
- Residents may participate in the experiential education of first through fourth year pharmacy students from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Pharmacy.
